About Us
Epicentre was established in KwaZulu-Natal, the province with the highest HIV infection rate, with the vision to tackle HIV and Wellness concerns within the workplace context.
Management
Cherie Cawood (BCom and MBA) is the founding member and majority shareholder. Cawood is a professional project manager and embeds sound project management principles in all the Epicentre programmes and projects. She is based in the Cape Town office.
David Khanyile (BA, Hons Psychology) joined Epicentre in 2002 and manages the Johannesburg office. David is a master trainer who ensures that all the Epicentre training programmes are based on sound behaviour change theory.
Contract staff
Epicentre has a countrywide network of over 200 nurses, trainers and consultants who are certified in providing consulting, conducting epicentre field research, managing employee health, healthy living and HIV/AIDS training, conducting health assessments and providing voluntary counselling and testing.
